North Barrington is a village in Lake County, Illinois. It has a population of 3,171 as of the 2020 census. It is located just north of Chicago. The village's economy relies heavily on manufacturing. However, the town also offers a number of cultural and recreational events. It is also located near several parks and recreational areas.

The town of North Barrington, which includes Lake Barrington, incorporated in 1959. During that time, the village began to develop denser zoning plans. The railroad went through the town in order to service the surrounding farmers. The railroad built a station there, which became the city's hub of commerce. North Barrington is located near Lake Barrington. The town is home to the Grassy Lake Forest Preserve, a beautiful 682-acre park. The village is also home to the Wynstone Golf Course. The town's residents can enjoy an exclusive golf course and a tennis complex.

The population of North Barrington was fairly evenly spread out. Thirty-one percent of residents were under the age of eighteen years. Twenty-three percent were between the ages of twenty-four and forty-four, and only 8.6% were 65 or older. The average household size was 2.91 persons.
