With over 85,000 acres of forestland in Central Illinois, it can be hard to know where to go for a hike or camping experience. A Lot of the parks are similar in appearance and have similar amenities. Huts and Trails
With over 30 buildings on site, many of which are available to rent for events, the Three Oaks Historic Society has a wide variety of buildings that they can offer for rent. With unique charm and inspiring architecture, the buildings can be used for a variety of functions including weddings, corporate retreats, reunions and more. Along with the many buildings, the Society has many bridges, hiking trails and a nature preserve. If you’re lucky, you may even spot a wild turkey on the trails or a variety of birds in the Shrine House. All this makes for some great pictures, but it’s the trails that are the true highlight.
